In almost any family law matter these days, the correct procedure is to check the opposing party’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media platforms. This was the observation of Dallas family lawyer Aubrey Connatser in a recent interview on ABC Radio. In almost 20% of all divorce cases, internet social media took center stage. Too many married people are engaged in activities outside the marriage and that may lead to a Texas divorce.
“It’s incredible what people will put out there about themselves,” says the managing member of Connatser Family Law. “Judges and juries tend to think that actions will speak louder than words.”
