Connatser Partner Abby Gregory Earns Texas Family Law Board Certification

Abby Gregory, a Partner at Aubrey M. Connatser, PLLC, has earned the designation of Board Certified in Family Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a plateau reached by only a small number of Texas attorneys.

Abby is one of only 10% of Texas attorneys in all practice areas who attain board certification. This is a way for Texas lawyers to be honored for years of experience, tremendous knowledge of their practice area and hard work beyond their daily tasks.

Reaching Board Certified status is a multi-step process. In the family law area, Abby had to demonstrate her experience in the field by dedicating a high percentage of her practice time to finding solutions for clients in the family courts. She also had to pass a rigorous test of her knowledge of the Texas Family Code.

Abby has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2010 and joined Connatser Family Law in 2013 after three years with a competing firm. Her entire career has been spent in family law.

She has been selected by Thomson Reuters (by a poll of older lawyers) to the Texas Rising Stars 2017-2019. This exclusive list represents 2.5% of all Texas attorneys under the age of 40 or with less than 10 years experience in the legal field. She is also listed among the finest legal practitioners by Best Lawyers in America (Levine Leichtman Capital Partners 2019-20).

The Dallas family attorney is a graduate of The Hockaday School and earned her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 2004. After attending programs at Columbia University and The University of St. Andrews in Scotland, Abby earned her law degree from Fordham University College of Law in 2010. Her commitment to community service was realized while a law student at Fordham. She received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, summa cum laude, for devoting more than 1,000 hours to pro bono and community work for Lincoln Square Legal Services, Lawyers for Children and the Innocence Project.

She is also trained in the collaborative law process. She has successfully represented high net-worth individuals with a desire to reach an amicable solution outside the courtroom through collaborative law.

“Abby is an exceptional person as well as a fine lawyer,” says Aubrey Connatser, Founder and Managing Member of Connatser Family Law. “She is sincere in her dealings with clients, giving them alternatives that will help them reach their goals. Abby understands the difficulties people face at the point of divorce and how her actions can impact the rest of their lives. That goes especially for clients with children or needing to untangle complex property arrangements.”
