Aubrey Connatser has been selected among the Best Lawyers in Dallas for 2020 by D Magazine.
In the May issue of the magazine, Aubrey was featured among 714 lawyers in 40 specialties recognized among the almost 10,000 practicing attorneys in the Dallas area.
Attorneys on the list are nominated by those who know them best, fellow lawyers who have witnessed their legal work firsthand. This can include lawyers who have observed their work in court, co-counsel and opposing counsel.
Once the nomination process is complete, a panel of esteemed lawyers meets with D Magazine editors to evaluate the list. This panel remains anonymous so that members may speak freely about issues regarding their peers. This is Aubrey’s third time to be included on the list, having been selected in 2011 and 2019.
This year, Aubrey was one of 19 family lawyers recognized, with just three listed in the downtown area. Connatser Family Law is actually located in the Uptown section of Dallas, in the Crescent, and is convenient to downtown, Uptown, Park Cities and North Dallas.
Aubrey is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and handles exclusively cases in the family court system, including divorce, child custody and visitation, complex financial settlements involving large assets, paternity, asset tracing, and post-divorce modifications and enforcement.
Connatser Family Law includes six attorneys who work individually or in teams, depending on the size of the case.
Aubrey has blazed quite a trail as a Texas family lawyer, having emerged among the Top 100 Attorneys in Texas and one of the Top 50 Women Attorneys in Texas for the past three years. She was one of the youngest Dallas family lawyers selected to the Super Lawyers list (Thomson Reuters) in 2004, and she has been chosen among the top 5% of all Texas attorneys for this honor in 2009 through 2011 and 2013 through 2020.
She has been chosen for The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward White), the oldest and most prestigious legal review service, from 2011 to 2020.
Aubrey originally learned her craft with one of Dallas’ largest family law firms. Since she established her own firm in 2014, she and her husband, Adam Connatser, have contributed more than $180,000 to the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program to help pay for legal services for the poor.
