Veteran Dallas divorce and family law attorney Mike DeBruin has joined the firm headed by Aubrey M. Connatser. The two family lawyers practiced together for many years in the Dallas office of another law firm.
There Mike built a reputation for creative problem solving and the ability to communicate his solutions to clients and other attorneys. He brings a rare combination of family law expertise, attention to detail and high ethical standards to his new position as a Member of Connatser Family Law.
Mike is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also one of Texas’ Best Lawyers (Woodward White 2009-2011) and has made the list of Texas Super Lawyers (Thomson Reuters 2003-2013).

Many of Mike’s cases involve complex property and business matters, intractable child custody and visitation issues, asset tracing, tax matters and the validity of marital agreements. His clients include professionals in law, medicine and finance, high-level business executives, professional athletes and their spouses.
He is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a former member of the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Child Support and Child Visitation. Mike has also written articles and made presentations at family law seminars on trial skills, the tax aspects of divorce, asset tracing and the problems of child support.
